ACT Interstate Team and School Pathways Squads

Rowing ACT is excited to announce the crews for the 2024 Interstate Regatta, as well as the squads for the 2024 schools pathways regatta in April. The Selectors and board were greatly impressed by the number and quality of nominees and is excited to see the ACT compete on the national stage.

2024 Interstate Team

President’s Cup – Men’s Single: Caleb Antill, coach: Dave Fraumano

Caleb returns to the Men’s Interstate Single, hungry for a gold medal. Caleb has represented the ACT on 4 occasions and has claimed a minor medal on three of those races. Could 2024 be the year?

Nell Slatter Trophy – Women’s Single: Cara Grzeskowiak

It’s been a long break between races for Cara, and as the 2024 Australian Rowing Championships returns to Sydney in a flourish, so does one of the ACT’s most successful women’s scullers. After a bronze medal in 2019, Cara will be looking to upgrade her placing.

Penrith Cup – Men’s Lightweight Four: Ishan Shalliker, Matthew Rickard, Jonathon Adams, Alex Tomanovits, coach: William Hatcher

The ACT returns to the Penrith Cup for the first time since 2019. With some strong local talent, including two members of the ANU Lightweight Four that placed second at the 2023 University Games, the four is one to watch out for.

Women’s PR3 Single: Nikki Ayers PLY, coaches: Dave Fraumano and David Bagnall

Nikki Ayers is looking to go four straight wins in the PR3 Women’s Single and is looking good to make that happen. She has never not podiumed in the PR3 single and we can’t wait to see her shine!

Men’s PR3 Single: Stuart John, coach: Dave Fraumano

Stuart John returns to the PR3 Men’s single after a successful 2023. He continues to go from strength to strength and is looking strong for a top finish at the 2024 Interstate Regatta.

2024 Schools Pathways Squads:

After a strong 2023 result in the school’s pathways regatta, the future is looking bright for the ACT Squads. With the best up and coming school athletes from the nation’s capital, the squad is looking strong. Crews for the Pathways regatta will be selected after the Australian Rowing Championships with crews to be split between quads and eights after the introduction of the Coxed Quad at last year’s event.
