Clubs and Schools within Rowing ACT are both asked to support Rowing ACT in our mission and vision, but also are offered support to do so where possible. These responsibilities apply to a club or school who has been endorsed as a club under the Rowing ACT constitution.
To support our visions, clubs are asked:
- Commit to safety in rowing and duty of care – this includes educating their club members on best practise, and ensure that all incidents are reported to Rowing ACT
- Commit to host or co-host at least one regatta in the summer season and provide the necessary number of volunteers and support as requested by Rowing ACT
- Encourage rowers and members of their Club communities including parents of school rowers volunteer to be Boat Race Officials (BRO’s)
- Encourage rowers attend the Annual Presentation to collect awards
