Rowing ACT is searching for an enthusiastic person to join our small team as an events and participation officer. The successful candidate would support the Executive Officer in the delivery of major events and stakeholder engagements, as well as the administration of the ACT Interstate Teams and other events.

As many  would be aware, the Australian University Championships are being held in Canberra in September this year. 

Rowing ACT will be responsible for the management of the Rowing event, and as part of this, we are seeking Expressions of Interest for a paid role as Competition Manager to support the Executive Officer and Officials during the competition week.

Rowing ACT Performance Pathways /ACTAS High Performance Assistant Coach

The Rowing ACT / ACTAS Performance Pathways Squad is seeking a full time assistant coach to help develop the ACT’s next generation of Australian Olympic Rowers. Our role is to identify and then nurture talent through the Rowing Australia Performance Pathway, for underage national team representation then on to the National Training Centres. The Rowing ACT Pathway Program (RACT PP), is the managed by Rowing ACT and supported by the ACT Academy of Sport (ACTAS).

RACT is responsible for the overall management, promotion and development of the sport and represents affiliated rowing clubs and competitive and recreational members throughout the ACT. ACTAS provides services in athlete management to all categorised athletes and training agreement athletes identified in the pathway program.

Rowing ACT is looking to appoint a full-time Rowing ACT Performance Pathways /ACTAS High Performance Assistant Coach who will be integral in delivery the Performance Pathways for rowing in the ACT. They will be working to develop athletes for state and national representation on Australian underage teams and coordinating the ACT’s underage interstate squads.

Victorian Pathway Program (VPP), is the joint management committee of Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) and Rowing Victoria (RV) that delivers the pathway for rowing in Victoria.

RV is responsible for the overall management, promotion and development of the sport and represents nearly 90 affiliated rowing clubs and 8,000 competitive and recreational members throughout the state. VIS delivers athlete management to all categorised athletes identified in the pathway program.

The VPP is looking to appoint a full-time State Pathway Coordinator who will be directly responsible for the successful delivery of campaigns focusing on underage athlete and coach pathways and the development of underage activities.

This is a 12 month maternity leave replacement role commencing December/ January.

The Damascus College Rowing program has developed a unique and proud tradition with over 70 participants, in its young seven year existence. We are committed to continual improvement and strengthening the strong foundations that have been established thus far.

Following a review of our Rowing program that has resulted in an expanded leadership structure, our College is seeking to appoint an experienced secondary-level educator with a love of and experience in rowing. The role will take up the leadership and coordination of the College Rowing program and oversee the development of a program that provides a whole-of-person educational experience for our students.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding leader, motivator and role model with demonstrated ability to nurture and affect positive relationships and wellbeing outcomes for students. Their teaching practice will be informed by an understanding of contemporary teaching methods and personal experience in the use of relevant coaching techniques.
This is an ongoing, full time position commencing during the 2019-20 Rowing Season (July-March). Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience, and the successful candidate will be provided with appropriate time-release to accommodate Rowing program commitments including attendance at Regattas, Camps and events.
