Five ACT rowers (Lauren Burraston, Amy Fowler, Louise Kilby, Angus Moore and David Wright) have been selected to represent Australia at the Junior World Championships, in Brive-La-Gaillarde, France and the Under 23 World Championships, Racice, Czech Republic. To assist with the expenses for these events a fundraising dinner, in support all five rowers, is being held on Friday, 26th of June, at 7:30pm, at the Top of the Cross, Southern Cross Club Woden. Tickets are $70 per person for dinner with raffles and an auction also part of the action. The dinner features guest speaker, Olympic Gold Medal winning coach and last year’s Australian Coach of the Year, Rhett Ayliffe, an auction run by local sporting identity, Tim Gavel and ACTRA 2008/2009 rowing season presentations.
