The Draw and Programme for this weekend’s ACT Rowing Championships Regatta has been published. The regatta has been consolidated to one day with break periods to allow for changeovers and reasonable recovery between events. Please use BOW NUMBERS for all boats. Borrow one from the friendly finish line officials if you have to – just don’t row to the start without one. ACT Athletes at the National Level – omissions Earlier this week we listed ACT athletes invited to compete for national representation. The following were omitted due to my carelessness:

  • Christabelle Northam and Louise Kilby in the W2- at the Senior and U23 trials, and
  • Jaime Fernandez as a coach for at the Junior Elite Target Squad. Unfortunately for us, but great for Jaime, he is now listed as a Victorian coach, as he is moving to Melbourne in a couple of months.

Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race – ACT interest Mike Valli who spent 2007 rowing from Canberra Rowing Club is in the reserve Oxford crew, Isis. The reserves race at about 15:00 BST Sunday 29 March (about 02:00 Monday 30 March AEDST). The O-C is about 30 minutes later.

The second regatta bulletin for this regatta is now available here. This bulletin provides the basic detail needed by all those thinking of entering.

The results of todays regatta can be found here. The regatta was run in ideal conditions with the temperature ranging from 14C to 23C and the wind from 4km/h early to 20km/h NNW at the end of the regatta.
