NTC Time Trial #3 – Friday 21st / Saturday 22nd November

ACTAS will be conducting the second of its monthly NTC Time Trials this Friday and Saturday mornings. Details below

PLEASE GIVE WAY TO PARTICIPATING ATHLETES. THEY HAVE PERMISSION TO TAKE THE SHORTEST COURSE POSSIBLE.

Friday Time Trial – Small Boats:

Start – 7:00am

Course – Participating athletes will be trailing from the white poles (finish of the Winter TT Course) to Kingston Harbor between 7:00am and 7:45am.

Saturday Time Trial – ACT Crews in Big Boats:

Start – 7:00am

Course – Participating athletes will be trailing from the white poles (finish of the Winter TT Course) to Kingston Harbor between 7:00am and 7:45am.

Regatta 2 run under calm conditions

After a very blustery start to the Regatta season, which forced  our first Regatta to be brought to an early finish, Regatta 2 ran under calm conditions.  Temperatures were also moderate just missing the heat wave conditions on Friday.

2014 – 2015 ACT Regatta Season Dates Confirmed

The Rowing ACT regatta dates for the upcoming season are now final. The Regatta Subcommittee met in late June to schedule the upcoming season. The calendar includes two pre premiership season events, the Disher Cup and Col Panton Memorial Marathon. The Premiership season then starts on the 1November with the Capital Lakes RC regatta. The Head of the Molonglo Marathon has been moved to November to allow crews preparing for the Head of the Yarra some preparation and to link to a very special November tradition to be announced soon.

The 2014 half of the season concludes on the 6th December with the Black Mountain RC regatta and the season recommences in January with the Australia Day Bridge to Bridge race for eights. Once again the ACT Schools Head of the Lake will feature in the program along with a sprint regatta to conclude the summer season.

The Regatta Subcommittee will continue to review and make changes where required to the regatta Order of Events and ACT Championships Order of Events. Once this process has been completed the final order of events will be published.

7 February 2015 – Australian National University BC Regatta

21 February 2015 – Radford College Regatta

14-15 March 2015 – ACT State Championships (CRC/Marist)

21 March 2015 – ACT Schools Head of the Lake (Daramalan)

18 April 2015 – ACT Sprint Regatta (ANUBC)
