News from the coaches of the 2005 Australian U23 crewsFriday 22 July 2005 From the Australian U23 Lightweight Four Well tomorrow is the semi finals and we have drawn a good race, with the top crew (Germans) in the other semi. This is not to say that they will have it easy, there are no crews in the race that have not recorded a sub- 6:12 time.(@ 93.5% for the rowing tragics). So they have a big race on Saturday which will be followed by a bigger race on Sunday. Tonight the coaches agreed to all follow the races down tomorrow to give a bit of Aussie noise from the side lines which is great, as we are really starting to feel like a national team. The Victorians (Josh and Aggi) have found new ways to make my life as a coach an ageing experience while the ACT boys (Jim and Mack) are as always a model of sobriety and stability in an otherwise frenetic schedule. Thank you for the hero faxes we really appreciate them and are out numbering the bigger states so keep them coming. Hopefully we will not need luck but save a four leaf clover for us.
