Entries are to be submitted by 12noon on the Wednesday before the trial.
Late entries will not be accepted.
There is no entry fee.

Equipment

Competitors must provide their own equipment (boat and oars).

Bow Numbers

Numbers must be carried and will be available from the ACTAS shed from 5am Sat. These must be returned as soon as possible after racing.

Uniform

To assist in identification, rowers are to wear their club/state institute/talent search uniforms.

Weigh-in

ALL athletes will be required to have their weights recorded. There will be scales at the ACTAS shed. This is to be done before racing and the scales will be available from 5.00-6.00am on Sat.  AIS athletes to weigh in at the AIS shed.

Lightweight Weigh-in

Lightweight athletes will be required to weigh in at FISA weight + 6% (W 60.42kg, M 74.2kg). This will be between 1 & 2hrs before the start of the first boat (5am – 6am). Lightweights who do not weigh-in according to this outline will be ranked as heavyweights.

The course

The start will be at Black Mtn Peninsula, with the first boat leaving at 7.00am. All boats are to be on the western side (regatta course side) of the start line at that time. This is especially the case for rowers coming from ANU and Capital Lakes who can potentially collide with competitors who have already started. The finish line will be the entrance to Kingston Boat Harbour in East Basin.
After starting, competitors are free to row to the finish using the shortest line possible.
Rowers who arrive late for their start will be started at the END of the field.

Results

Results will be posted on the ACTAS shed notice board as soon as possible after racing. A full results summary from Saturday will be circulated by email as soon as possible.

Safety

Safety marshals will be stationed at various points along the course in speed boats. There will be people also on the large pontoons in front of the National Library and the National Gallery.

Non-competing rowers and coaches are asked to stay clear of the course during the time trial if possible. The area between Black Mtn Peninsula and Commonwealth Avenue will see the competitors traveling towards East Basin on the wrong side of the lake between approx 7am and 730am on Friday and Saturday. As a result, non-competing rowers must proceed with extreme caution and follow any instructions from safety marshals.

All those assisting with the running of the time trial will meet at the AIS shed at 600am.

2005 National Team Nominees (Scratchings)
Those athletes who are intending to nominate for 2005 national teams who are unable to race at this trial will be required to provide a medical certificate (from a Dr.) to the NTC Head Coach PRIOR to the time trial.
