Australia's rowers are now well advanced in their preparation for selection in the Australian team for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Over the next few months they will participate in a number of selection trials and regattas ­ the first of which takes place on the Nepean River ­ a 5 km Time Trial commencing on Thursday, 18 December and finishing with some racing at the Sydney International Regatta Centre on Sunday, 21 December, 2003.

The dates for the various events are ­

• 18 to 20 December, 2003 at Nepean Rowing Club, Penrith
• 21 December, 2003 at SIRC, Penrith Lakes
• 23 to 25 January, 2004, Selection Regatta, SIRC, Penrith
• 20 to 22 February, 2004, Olympic Selection Regatta, SIRC, Penrith
• 23 to 29 February, 2004, Olympic Selection Trials, SIRC, Penrith
• 16 to 18 April, 2004, Junior and Under 23 Selection Regatta, SIRC, Penrith
