2003 ACTAS NTC 5.5km Time Trials

ACTAS will be conducting long distance time trials during spring in preparation for the 2003-04 season. The distance will be approximately 5200 metres from Black Mountain Peninsula to the entrance of Kingston Boat Harbour.

ENTRY
Racing in the NTC Time Trials will generally be in single sculls ONLY.

The NTC Head Coach may allow some athletes to trial in coxless pairs in the five trials. This decision will be made in consultation with the coaches concerned.

Those entering should consider that the trials are oriented towards the high performance program and, particularly for the Nov 15th and 29th trials, entry may be restricted.

Entry will be by email only to the address given below and are to be received by
5.00pm on the Tuesday prior to each time trial.

Entry should detail name, date of birth for juniors and U23 athletes and weight category (if lightweight)

No late entries

Lightweights
Lightweights will not need to weigh-in until NTC Time Trial #4 on the 15th
of November. The weight limit required will be 74.2kg for men and 60.4kg for women.

The scales at the ACTAS shed have been checked by the ACTAS physiology Dept.
and are found to be reading LIGHT.

For those wishing to use these scales to check their weights (which are you
are welcome to do) the scale reading will need to be 73.7 for men and 60.4
for women.

For those who choose to bring a calculator, you can work it out using:
ACTUAL WEIGHT = 1.0089 X SCALE READING - 0.1025

The scales will be checked again in the week prior to the time trial.
